Celebrate St. Patrick’s with Bailey’s Mistake, a not-quite-traditional, Celtic-inspired folk band playing ancient songs of the sea, Newfoundland, Ireland, Scotland and their home state of Maine. Powered by guitar, bagpipes, bass and drums, their totally danceable music invites merry hearts to sing along and feel the power of ancient Orange Bike Brewing: An all-day St. Patrick’s Day Bash with Irish Stew, Stout Milkshakes, and two new beers on tap (an Irish Stout and and Irish Red Ale). Party runs from 12pm – 9pm but live music kicks off with Irish Session Band from 2pm – 4pm and Swamp Road Riders will play from 5pm – 7pm. St Patrick’s Day is on Monday, with events starting this weekend! Brave the icy waters to support the Portland Firefighters Children’s Burns Foundation, helping burn survivors and their families. For those of you who are St. Patrick’s Day purists, the Maine Irish Heritage Center has events on the actual morning of the Join Ri Ra Irish Pub, a local Irish Pub in Portland, Maine, for a lively annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration! The polar plunge begins at East End Beach at 5:30 am. Come celebrate the plunge at the opening of the Pub shortly following the activities at 6:00 am.
